Our accredited curriculum is written by the professional staff at Kids’R’Kids located in Atlanta, GA. It is an adaptation of a creative curriculum embracing childhood development theories that children learn best while playing and in responding to both child driven and teacher driven activities. To enhance the curriculum to be as effective as possible for our own Center, we have Ms. Renee (Assistant Director) review the curriculum with our staff to amend it to each of our rooms. Lesson Plans are posted for our parents to review each week on your child’s classroom Parent Board.
Teachers and Ms. Renee coordinate the plans to assure that they are age appropriate for your child and act as a building block for the next room and developmental milestones.
Kids'R'Kids assesses the developmental progress of children three times annually. These assessments allow us to determine what areas your child requires additional assistance with to be best prepared for the remainder of our program as well as kindergarten. Parents recieve a copy of each assessment in "report card" format.
An environment such as your child’s classroom has to serve equally as a room designed to allow indoor play as well as a learning environment. We strive to provide the largest, best equipped, and cleanest rooms to enhance your child’s time with us as well as their ability to learn.
Our infant suites are spacious, provide parent closets for diaper bags, and best of all – a double sink system minimizing any chances of cross contaminating bottles, bowls, spoons, etc from the cleanup of dirty diapers, and hand washing following diapering.
Our infant suite provides the highest quality care in an environment that is designed with the parent and child in mind. While in our care, children are stimulated through music, exercise, outdoor blanket time, facial and verbal mimicking as well as lots of hugs and tickles.
Kids'R'Kids provides each child with a crib, sheet, and blanket laundered daily, and a drawer for their personal items. Supplies provided by the parent include six to seven disposable diapers per day, a change of clothes, bottles filled with formula or mother's milk (labeled with the child's first and last name), baby food, diaper wipes and any required diaper creams or powders.
We give each child the attention and love they deserve as well as parental daily reports on feedings, diapering and napping. Healthy growth and development is our top priority at Kids'R'Kids. We ensure a child's well being by requiring all our caregivers to obtain First Aid and CPR certification along with many hours of State required classes.
Return to work with peace of mind that your child is in good hands with us. Also, be sure to watch your child on WATCHMEGROW.
Our toddler suite is spacious, provides a parents closet for diaper bags, and best of all – a double sink system minimizing any chances of cross contaminating bottles, bowls, spoons, etc from the cleanup of dirty diapers, and hand washing following diapering.
At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come. Crawling, walking and eventually running are milestones they accomplish in what seems like a blink of an eye.
Kids'R'Kids provides 100% fruit juice and 2% milk for breakfast, lunch and snacks. During the transition from jar food to table food, we encourage our parents to discuss with the teachers which foods your child seems to enjoy.
Toilet training is an educational process in which we take pride in helping our parents and children. Items provided by the parent include an adequate number of diapers/pull-ups for each day and several changes of clothes. Every item brought to school should be labeled with the child's name.
Children learn best if they are in a stimulating environment. Music, books, pretend play, outdoor play and learning activities envelop much of the day. Our caregivers are dedicated in helping each child develop skills through a trusting and loving relationship. A parental daily report provides each family information on meal times, nap times, toilet training and all learning activities participated in each day.
Your toddler will mature into a fun-filled preschooler ready, willing and able to take on the world and all it has to offer.
Our rooms are oversized exceeding state requirements, includes gender specific restrooms within each room, libraries for the children, plenty of learning and play equipment, etc.
A good preschool can make a difference in a child's future school years. Kids'R'Kids offers individual programs for children to help them learn in an environment that is stress free and fun.
Some learning centers our preschoolers explore are music, library, dramatic play, science, math, language arts and manipulative play. We also enhance our curriculum with the addition of Spanish and sign language for children ages 3 to 5.
Transporting children is "safety first" with us on all field trips. Child to adult ratio is adjusted while on field trips to allow for the safe enjoyment of off-site activites. For children who are in our pre-k program and attend field trips, our buses and vans are equipped with seat belts and all outings require parental approval. All our children are required to wear a Kids 'R' Kids t-shirt and an identification bracelet on all field trips.
Each child develops at their own pace and we encourage communication between staff members and parents on the progress of their child. Daily reports or weekly newsletters from the classroom teachers update parents on activities, future class projects and field trips.
Hot meals and nutritional snacks are provided on a daily basis and weekly menus are available in the front lobby. Menus are designed to be both nutritional and kid friendly.
We ask each child to come to school with a change of clothes to keep in their “cubby” and remind them that personal toys should be limited to "show and tell" days only.
A child takes in more information between the ages of birth to six than they do the remainder of their life. Kids 'R' Kids wants to be a part of that development by offering an education that will help mold today's children into tomorrow's leaders.
Before and after school, the school age program is structured so the kids may work on homework, play at table activities, and generally have a great time. We do not allow the kids to run around outside of playground time. The program is structured to be fun for everyone.
Entertainment, food and freedom are the things that seem to go hand in hand with having a school age child. Kids 'R' Kids can provide all these amenities and more within a safe environment. From video games to basketball and homework clubs to field trips, a child develops friendships and interests that will take them through the elementary years.
For all of our children, breakfast is available before school at the cost of $1/day and nutritional snacks are enjoyed after a long day of learning. During school holidays, hot lunches are also prepared.
Our staff is young at heart and arranges each day's schedule around the interest of the child. A day spent with Kids'R'Kids can be fun as well as educational.
